The UAE have recently introduced changes to the Federal Commercial Companies Law (“CCL”; Federal Law No. 2 of 2015) abolishing the requirement for an Emirati partner in an LLC as well as an Emirati agent for a branch of a foreign company. However, the UAE government also introduced a new article to the CCL allowing the licensing authorities to determine activities with strategic impact as well as licensing requirements for such companies/activities.
SCHLÜTER GRAF will host a live webinar in collaboration with German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) on “100% Foreign Ownership in UAE Mainland Companies – A Shift Away from the Foreign Direct Investment Law?”.
