Julian Steimer
Associate
Julian is an Associate in SCHLÜTER GRAF’s Dubai Office. He advises German and international clients on corporate and commercial matters related to Germany, the United Arab Emirates and other Emerging Markets in the Middle East region. He has several years of experience as a lawyer, especially in the industrial and automotive sectors. Julian is fluent in German and English.
Julian studied law in Regensburg/Germany; he is admitted to the bar in Munich/Germany since 2022 and registered as a Legal Consultant with the Ruler’s Court of Dubai. Before he joined SCHLÜTER GRAF in 2024, Julian worked for leading international law firms and a DAX40 company in Munich. He is currently working on his doctoral thesis at the University of Passau / Germany in the field of international business law with a focus on export control and sanctions law. Julian specialises in cross-border transactions and international law issues and advises clients on all aspects of contract law. Furthermore, he is also authorised as a Wills Draftsman with the DIFC.
- Conducting compliance investigations for German companies in the United Arab Emirates in cases of employee financial miscounduct including internal inquiries, hearings and implementation of labour law measures
- Representation and negotiation for a German company regarding a multi-million dollar claim in Africa in the industrial sector
- Advising a German company in the automotive sector regarding distributor agreements in the Middle East region
